How does pickleball scoring work?
Pickleball uses rally scoring - either team can score a point on any rally, not just when serving. First team to 11 points wins the game (win by 2). At 10-10, play continues until one team leads by 2.
What is the side-out rule in pickleball?
When the serving team loses a rally (side-out), serve passes to the other team. In doubles, both players on the serving team get to serve before a side-out. Scorepion tracks this rotation automatically.
What is the two-bounce rule?
After the serve, the ball must bounce once on each side before players can volley. Scorepion does not enforce this (it is a live-play rule), but the app follows all scoring conventions.
How many games is a pickleball match?
Most recreational matches are best of 3 games to 11. Tournament formats sometimes use one game to 15 or 21. Scorepion lets you configure the winning score.
